for JOHN H. MAGNER, SR.: Served
in the Pennsylvania Rangers for the Frontier under Captain John Walls Company,
2nd battalion, 6th class. John Walls was killed and John Magner became a member
of William Barr's Company. Rendezvous September 15, 1782. Patented
land in Union Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, 400 acres. He
was a trustee at the Meeting House located on Mingo Creek, December 15, 1787. John
moved to Bourbon County, Kentucky.
