Hi,

I'm not related to the MAGNERS but I collected the following information for another searcher back in Aug 1996. Thought it might be of interest to other MAGNER researchers.

This is a list of all the MAGNERS (mostly from Co. Clare, Ireland) who are buried in the cemetery at old St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fairfax Station, VA. St. Mary's was established in the mid-19th Century and was constructed by Irish railroad workers who built the railroad running from Alexandria, through Fairfax Station, and on to Manassas, VA, and points south. Many of the wounded soldiers from the Civil War battles near Manassas were brought to Fairfax Station where Clara Barton, founder of the American Red Cross, treated them at St. Mary’s.
