My name is Michael Magner. I come from Silesia (now in Poland before 1945 in Germany). My ancestors lived in Kochlowitz for 200 years. As far as I know one of them arrived in Silesia in 1808 with the army of Hieronim Bonaparte and got married and stayed there.

My family mainly emigrated to Germany after the WW II but some Magners still live there. I am very interested in genealogy and it would be great if you could contact me.

At present I am studying (Ph.D.) in Quebec. There are some Irish families here (in Sillery) but unfortunately no Magner. I hope I will prepare a webpage of our Silesian branch and I hope it would be possible to join it to your Magner official page.

Hello my name is Lori; yes I too am a Magner, as you may have guessed from my screen name. Anyway, I just thought I would go through the member’s directory and see if I could find some other family members that might be AOL members. I have cousins named, David, Danny, and Robert that I thought might have computers and if so, would be on the Net somehow. Your page is great. I know from my Magner family, we came from Germany, I did not get to meet my Grandfather, as he passed on when my father was only 10 years old. I was shocked when I typed in the Magner name and found many of them in there but none that I recognize.

If you like please write back but at any rate I just wanted to say hello and I do wish your family a Merry Christmas, if you like also, you may check out my holiday web page I have made....
